The Centre of Excellence for Women and Children offers services and assistance to all women and newborn babies.

Tiberina Island is historically one of the most important maternity hospitals in Lazio and is a reference center known throughout Italy: here most of the mothers in the centre of Rome give birth.

Within the Gynaecology and Obstetrics Service, there is a section dedicated to Obstetric Pathology, which welcomes women with problems during pregnancy, who need more accurate and timely monitoring or who are at greater risk of giving birth to a baby with problems.

In this regard, the Hospital also has a Department of Neonatology and Neonatal Intensive Care, ready to assist pathological newborns and premature births: a state-of-the-art service, which combines the highest technology with a great sense of welcome.

The Gynaecology Department, in addition to pregnancy, also deals with other aspects related to reproductive age, menopause, postpartum and women's health in general. A fetal and neonatal cardiology service is also active for prenatal diagnosis and treatment of non-surgical congenital heart disease.

This Centre of Excellence offers 360-degree care for women and newborns, welcoming and taking care of the patient and their family in a comprehensive way. Another fundamental section is Breast Surgery, one of the most important in Italy, which offers personalized diagnosis and treatment for all women with breast cancer.
